On the main screen you can perform your translations, just type in or record an audio with the words you want to consult, send and soon enough Hugo or Maya will translate your sentence in Sign Languages. You can also explore other sections of the app on the menu on the bottom part of the screen, such as the Store to customize the Hand Talk App however you prefer.

Can I use the Hand Talk App for video translation?

No. Videos are much more complex contents than small text or audios, since they can contain dialogues and illustrations, demanding for the translation and the audio to be syncked. All of this raises the complexity of the translation needed. That is why the ideal way is to rely on human ASL interpreters for this objective.

Can I use the Hand Talk App for my company’s customer service?

The Hand Talk App can be used as a last resource for specific Signs consultations, but the ideal is to communicate with people that speak ASL with the presence of trained professionals who are fluent in this language, or with the presence of human ASL interpreters.
